The rise of Napoleon was very clear after the Jacobin stage. During the reign of terror, the people in France looked for a strong leader who can free them from the bondage of Robespierre. During this time period, anti-revolutionists were cruelly executed and they had not at all given a chance of self-justification. For them, their daily actions were restricted and ordinary French people were looking for an alternate. This need for an alternate paved the way for Napoleon’s successful rise in the contemporary scenario.
